Craven Thompson & Associates was the co-manager the Fort Lauderdale / Hollywood International Airport Expansion program. To manage the rapid growth, the airport has implemented a $655 million expansion project to build new facilities. Projects completed include:

  • New 4,900-space garage which opened in September 1999
  • Renovation of existing three terminals which finished Summer of 2001
  • New Terminal 1, Concourse C, which opened May 2001, including an additional 9 gates
  • Terminal 1, Concourse , which opened January 2003, 9 gates
  • New entrance roadway system which was completed in 2004
  • Consolidated rental car facility combining vehicle parking and rental car facilities completed in 2005
