For over 60 years Craven Thompson & Associates, Inc. (CTA) has provided consulting services to governmental agencies and private developers throughout South Florida.  Founded with one Engineer, Mr. Warren S. Craven, P.E., as a Partner, he provided quality service based on his knowledge of local regulatory requirements and of sensitive environmental factors, from his background as Assistant City Engineer for the City of Fort Lauderdale. Building over the years on the same fundamental quality professional service, the firm has expanded to a large group of Professional Engineers, graduate Engineers, Surveyors, Biologists, Designers and Draftspersons.

Currently we have 85 employees of which there are 17 Professional Engineers, four Registered Surveyors and four Registered Landscape Architects. Our staff experience ranges from new graduates to over 40 years and nearly 50% of our staff have been with CTA for over ten years.

At CTA we offer a wide range of civil engineering capabilities that we coordinate with our planners, surveyors, landscape architects and G.I.S. specialists, to provide a total coordinated project from site evaluation to a completion. This includes preparing studies, plans, calculations, and specifications, permitting, conducting the necessary public meetings and hearings, bidding projects, coordination with affected private property owners for the construction of the project, inspecting the construction, performing contract administration for the construction, and final certification of the project.

In the past decade, CTA has designed, permitted, bid and/or constructed nearly one and half (1,500,000) million linear feet of water, sanitary sewer and storm drainage pipe throughout South Florida.

We have a successful track record in providing infrastructure survey, studies, design, permitting and construction related services to numerous municipalities and governmental agencies as well as private developers. We offer a wide range of Civil Engineering capabilities, that we coordinate with our Planners, Surveyors and Landscape Architects, to provide a total capability, from site evaluation to a completed project.  We take pride in our ability as “Problem Solvers”.
