This position requires a minimum of 5-7 years as a Party Chief, with field knowledge and proficiency in Leica and Trimble survey equipment and some office experience with AutoCAD, Excel, and Word software. You need to have the ability to keep schedules and equipment on track, follow up and assist crews with any field problems, manage all survey equipment maintenance, ordering and testing, be flexible as to time scheduling changes, and work with all PSM or CAD Techs to get information from the crews in a timely fashion.

This person is responsible for the operation of a field survey crew, taking direction from Surveyors and supplying leadership on the job site, understanding how to perform and complete all different kinds of surveys from boundary, topographic, hydrographic and Right-of-way surveys, to Aerial, Mobile, and Terrestrial Lidar work. The major objectives are honesty, quality, accuracy, thoroughness, Staff safety and maintenance of equipment. Must be able to operate equipment, maintain safe work environment, protect and maintain the equipment and vehicles, accurately and efficiently collect field data and locate features using Leica Total Stations, Spectra Survey data Collectors, and Trimble GPS Units. Some overnight travel may be required. Position requires a lot of walking outside year-round through all kinds of terrain in urban & rural sites and in extreme heat and possible cold weather in South Florida.

This person is responsible for assisting the Crew Chief in the operation of a field survey crew. The major objectives are the quality, accuracy, thoroughness, safety, and maintenance of equipment. Must be able to operate equipment, maintain safe work environment, protect and maintain the equipment and vehicles, accurately and efficiently collect field data and locate features using Leica Total Stations, Ranger\Recon Survey data Collectors, and Trimble GPS Units. Some overnight travel may be required. Position requires a lot of walking outside year-round through all kinds of terrain and in extreme heat and possible cold weather in South Florida.

Minimum High school diploma or GED required. Must have two (2-3) years of progressive experience in land survey field operations and proficiency with land survey equipment (total stations) and GPS is required, with Leica and Trimble experience a plus. Good technical skills; Possess oriented behavioral traits including being honest, steady, helpful, analytical, a problem solver, likes working alone when required, methodical, consistent, detail oriented, precise, hates mistakes, likes structure. Some overnight travel may be required.
