Craven Thompson & Associates, Inc. (CTA) is very proud to be celebrating our 62nd year! CTA was founded in 1961 by Mr. Warren Craven, P.E when he left his position as Assistant City Engineer for the City of Fort Lauderdale to start this firm. It was originally founded as an engineering and surveying firm, dedicated primarily to serving the needs of private sector clients in the rapid growing area of South Florida. Over the past 60 years, Craven Thompson & Associates, Inc. has grown into a multi-disciplinary firm comprising specialized teams, each fully staffed with top caliber surveyors, engineers, land planners, landscape architects and support personnel, serving clients in both the public and private sectors. CTA currently has over 80 employees in our Fort Lauderdale and Delray Beach offices. We are very proud of the accomplishments of our staff and the firm’s ability to meet difficult challenges.

We are currently engaged in a wide variety of land development projects including commercial, industrial and residential elements, together with public infrastructure projects for governmental agencies. CTA is also the consulting engineers, surveyors and landscape architects for a number of municipalities within Broward, Palm Beach and Dade County. Over the years, the firm has prepared and processed Development of Regional Impact applications, from the preparation of the ADA through issuance of the Development Order, and has assisted in the process on numerous others. As regulatory activity on environmental issues has increased over the years, so has the extent of our experience in addressing permit, mitigation and planning requirements. Our surveying capabilities cover the full spectrum of plat preparation, geometric computations, title work and exhibit preparation, together with land and bathymetric surveys, and construction stakeout.
