Craven Thompson & Associates, Inc. (CTA) were the project surveyors, civil engineers and landscape architects for Parkland Fire Station No. 42 in the City of Parkland. The state-of-the-art Fire Station is situated on 3.0 acres and included a 7,500 square foot fire station along with extensive native landscaping, solar lighting and associated parking. CTA worked closely with the City of Parkland and the design team, led by ACAI, to provide the City with an environmentally friendly and beautiful facility. The building was situated to retain as much of the native vegetation as possible while the civil and landscape design worked harmoniously to recreate native habitats. CTA’s responsibilities included all Civil & Landscape Architecture, including tree protection & relocation as well as irrigation plans for the project.
