Currently under construction, Plantation Walk is a 32-acre mixed-use development including 700 luxury apartments, over 200,000-SF of office space, and 220,000-SF of retail/restaurant. Craven Thompson provided a full range of services including Survey, Site Plan development and processing, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, and Construction Administration. Previously an abandoned 3-story mall that had been vacant for more than 10-years, the project presented many challenges including a Land Use Plan Amendment, utility capacity studies, 3,200 LF of off-site force main and lift station improvements, FDOT access issues, and complete redesign of the drainage system requiring a CLOMAR-F approval. In addition, a phased development plan and continuous operations of an existing on-site Hotel required special considerations with regard to construction and permit approvals.
