In April, Craven Thompson’s golf league begins a 16 week long season. There are four or five teams each year and each team is a foursome.

Games are played on Thursday evenings at Palm Aire’s various courses and sometimes at The Woodlands so the courses change weekly. Different golf formats (scrambles, best ball, etc.) are played throughout the season.

At the end of the season, the winning team has their names engraved on the CTA golf trophy (aka the Stanley Cup) and the Golfer of the Year is crowned after an individual championship round is played.

While the golf is not of the professional level, the trash talk is formidable and the beer is always cold. A good time is had by all.
